With the development of science and technology, people are seeking for higher quality service on the file distribution in large scale , especially after band of network become wider. However , the traditional network model - C/S (client/server) can not break through the bottleneck of the band-width and computing-capacity of the server during the distribution of files in large size. A new network model - P2P is launched. Compared with C/S model, P2P take full use of the band-width and computing-capacity of peers, this model perform well in this way. The BitTorrent file distribution system (B-FDS) is one of those kinds of system. Because of more efficient and more stable, B-DFS has become one of most widely used FDSs today.Based on the original network topology of BitTorrent FDS, a new network topology on embedded system is researched. In general BitTorrent FDS, it use WWW (World Wide Web) as its metafile-searching and resource location, but embedded system is not suitable to do this. So, a new server - Torrent server is set up for this purpose, and the client is simplified.The core of system - Client is designed and implemented on a embedded system. According to the requirement of the Client system, the main-board and its peripheral equipment is chosen. The environment of the Client hard-ware is set up. Compounded with other sophisticated program and technology, the integrated FDS is deployed.The BitTorrent FDS is a try to realize on a embedded Linux system in this dissertation. It is a promotion both in P2P technology and the applications on embedded Linux system. |
