The Stratagem system is a magnetotelluric system made by EMI Inc. in U.S..Stratagem measurements may be effectively applied in ground water investigation,subsurface characterization at environmental study sites, mineral and geothermalexploration, and in civil engineering studies. Because the processing technology of thetime series processing software in the Stratagem system is behind the times, and it'sprocessing results always aren't good, it is very necessary to develop a software toreprocess the MT time series.In this paper, after thoroughly analyze the contents and formats of the time seriesfiles and other calibration files, after studied the knowledge of the methods processingthe MT time series in earnest, I have developed a new magnetotelluric time seriesreprocessing software in Digital Visual Fortran platform. It have a friendly UserInterface, and is very convenient to the user.Because of the shortage of the old processing method,the paper provides a newmethod based on High-Order Statistics so that the Gauss colored noises can beeffectively controled.As a result , more even curves of resivity and phase can begot.As the calibration files of EH4 system have not been studied clearly,the paperonly compared the results of High-Order Statistics and FFT without the final results ofresistivity and phase,that is,we only want to validate that High-Order Statistics isvirtual compared to FFT.The software has many properties, such as configuring,reprocessing the timeseries,reserving etc. It can be used to reprocess the data timely outside friendly andeasily.
