This thesis researches parallel coordinate measuring machine mainly. Because the virtualprototyping technology need not make physical prototyping, accordingly enables the virtualprototyping to have very good application prospect in the design of the virtual axes machinetools.The thesis analyses the mechanism based on the Stewart six freedom degrees of parallelcoordinate measuring machine. After elaborating the research background and the significance,summarizing the general research situation in the domestic and foreign correlative domains andsome questions which existence now. This thesis mainly completes the below work:In view of the structure characteristic of parallel coordinate measuring machine, applyingthe important BP algorithm in the neural network, and combining error compensation, the thesissets up the kinematics analysis model of six freedom degrees of parallel coordinate measuringmachine which provides the theory gist for the non-linear mapping realization from the jointvariable space to the measuring space,the method is efficient.First the thesis analyses the restriction factors for the coordinate measuring machine, setsup pole coordinate measuring space algorithm in succession and obtains measuing spacesimulation using the MATLAB language, finally discusses the influences of structure parametersand kinematics restriction to measuring space volume.Taking Jocabian matrix as the fitness function and its condition number as the intendedpurpose , and using the genetic algorithm realize the structural parameter optimization for theStewart six freedom degrees of parallel coordinate measuring machine. The structural parameteroptimization has the certain instruction significance for the parameter design of kinetic platform.The thesis discusses geometry model process for the virtual prototyping of the six freedomdegrees of parallel coordinate measuring machine. Using Open GL language carries through thesolid modeling and the kinematics simulation of the virtual prototyping under the virtualenvironment. The solid modeling and the kinematics simulation enable virtual axes machinetools design to have according for depending on, help product to be made successfully once.
