Along with the rapid developments of CAD & CAE technologies, engineering plotters are being used on a daily broadening scale. And the demands on plotting speed and drawing quality are becoming higher and higher.To this end, a large format ink-jet-plotter detailed solution based on DSP is given in this thesis through a serious analysis of the principles of inkjet head and plotters. Secondly, key technologies of inkjet plotting is studied in the paper, such as inkjet head drive, method of RIP(Raster Image Process), and carriage servo system etc. Parallel operate mode of multi-head is submitted, as well as the corresponding data processing technique and the printing control method, which made a remarkable enhancement in plotter's performance; an effective and practical clipping algorithm is presented, also, in order to slolve large format and ultra-large format graph segmentation; a proposal is put forward to droplet position-setting with high accuracy, in order to improve plotting quality. In the end ,the proposed method was tested on a experimental inkjet plotter ,on which there is a working table 2.4 meters long . The experiment results show that the solution is practical, simple and effective, and the output speed comes up to as fast as 200 m2/h. |
