The application and development of the embedded software are a focus of the development field of current computer software; guarantee the quality of the embedded software is very important. Measuring the index testability as a piece of software, refer to the software while give and input the set to test of embedded software, probability that the mistake existing among them can be announced .It contributes to confirming the degree that the embedded software needs testing in order to reach certain dependability to launch the research testability to the embedded software, and assign and test resources most rationally, improve the efficiency tested. But item, the testability analysis also can use in instructing the software designers reasonably to design the software architecture, by reduces test the expenses as well as the enhancement test feasibility to a new level.The paper produces a set of complete solutions of embedded software testability. Based on Fault/Failure Model, this article has constructed the software testability quantification examination SETM model, and has designed and realized the measuring tool based on this model.The paper has recommended embedded software test and testability basic conception, etc. to use for measuring the theoretical foundation with software testing at first, and has analyzed in detail some theories measure models. And then, direct against the question that exist in these models, according to causing the researching and analyzing of invalid course of the software to the mistake of the software, this paper propose one improved solution SETM uses for to be getting testability to quantize measuring to software, the paper finally is designing and realizes the software testability examination tool above the SETM model could carry on the testability to the C source program examines and obtains the quantification result data, confirmed this model validity.
