Nowadays, the society is coming into the age of information. Intelligentized, network and integrating vessel with bank are the direction of vessel automatization in the 21st Century. International trade is developing. The see transportation quantity is enlarging. The security of vessel is very important. So the security of vessel has to be improved. Because vessel collision avoidance has relation to the security of navigation, it is an important and sense study on researching Intelligent Decision System for Vessel Collision Avoidance.This dissertation is based on the works of former researchers. We will study Intelligent Decision-making System for Vessel Collision Avoidance on the vessel and application of three-dimensional display in the Electronic Chart Display and Information System which will improve effect of vessel collision avoidance.The dissertation has six chapters. We introduce the status of the research about Intelligent System for vessel collision avoidance first. After that, we analyze the knowledge about domain of vessel collision avoidance, the duty and action of vessel collision avoidance. Then, we consider each aspect factor, using fuzzy mathematics to establish a model of confirming the degree of danger. Finally, advanced artificial intelligence is applied to the domain of vessel collision avoidance and we will design an Intelligent Decision System for Vessel Collision Avoidance which has multi-intelligence technology. It is based on expert system and combined with information which is provided from AIS. In the Electronic Chart Display and Information System, we add three-dimensional display. By decoding the AIS data which is precision and providing three-dimensional display can improve effect of vessel collision avoidance. Three-dimensional display can also offer pithiness evidence in the case of vessel collision.
