As a major branch of image processing, image compression gets abroad application in many fields. The present printing industry, has widely utilized the digitized technology storage and transmission images. But discovered to the existing domestic and foreign literature to be very few on four-colors printing images compression research, So this topic based on the model existing quite mature some compression technology, to has done the preliminary compression research work on the CMYK printing image.The first topic research work from completely loss less compression angle has embark, made the color space three kind of reversible integers transformation, the integer DCT transformation, the integer DPCM prediction and the integer wavelet transformation by the lifting theory. Experimental plans have profited from the quite mature compression algorithm standard: JPEG and the JPEG2000 international compression standard, designed a series of the pertinence experimental plan. The topic adopted two kinds of contrasts plans that have loss-less and loss compression. Loss-less compression experiment plans include: Four kind of colors spaces, the blocked integer DCT and the blocked wavelet, import direct current coefficient DPCM prediction, data rearrangement, the integer DPCM predictor import wavelet transformation and the whole image integer wavelet transformation contrast experiment and so on; Loss compression experimental plans include: Same size decompression data stream in different color space performance, different sampling method contrast experiment and so on. And achieve some useful conclusions through multifarious experimental result. In the image coding part, considered the long-distance transmission and human visual physiology and psychological characteristic, compression ratio control, selected has been outstanding set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) wavelet coding the algorithm, also has profited from already the improvement methods which had, has completed this article encoder improvement design. In the performance analysis of the algorithm, image quality is evaluated objectively using PSNR (peak signal-to-noise ratio), MCE (mean color error) and so on.Though the experiments data analysis, this article adopt many measures which include color-space transform, blocked wavelet transform, new sample and SPIHT coding for the improvement remover printing image compression and achieves good results. The study does a favorable basis on the next research work.
