Bluetooth is one of the open protocols about wireless communications ofdata and voice, based on low price and short distance. Bluetooth uses thedistributed network architecture, the quick frequency modulation and the shortpackage technology, and supports the communications of point to point and pointto multipoint. It works on the global general frequency of 2.4GHz ISM (includingindustry, science, medicine). Its data rate is 1M bps. TDD is used to realize thefull duplex transmission.Bluetooth products have many advantages, such as small volume, low power,etc. Bluetooth technology has many applications including mobile phone, PDA,computer, printer, digital camera, and so on.It is great application prospect that Bluetooth is used in the automotiveelectronic equipment. Delphi Company has developed the vehicle Bluetooth kitwhich is used to control the vehicle with audio by drivers. Motorola Companyhas also produced a Bluetooth automobile tool kits for the automobile producers.The hands Bluetooth kits can be connected with the automotive kits wirelessly,for instance, open the vehicle door with the wireless remote controller, andexchange database with the vehicle examination system in the vehicle wirelessly.This thesis introduces Bluetooth Specification including Core Protocol andProfiles, analyzes Bluetooth hands-free Profile, and presents a plan of Bluetoothhands-free system. The plan is based on BlueCore2 Bluetooth module of CSR,constructions hardware system, and transplants the Bluetooth protocols to theBluetooth hardware with the labpro of Bluetooth development suit. Then itimplements to link the headset to the vehicle system wirelessly followed thecommunications flow of Bluetooth hands-free Profile. Finally, it tests both datumtransmit based on PC and audio communication based on bluelab2.9 platform ofBluetooth modules.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the layers of Bluetooth Specification in thesystem perspective. SIG Bluetooth Specification is the Bluetooth wirelesscommunication protocol, and it contains two parts of core protocols andapplication profiles. Core protocols define each layer of Bluetoothcommunication protocols, and application profiles point out how to use theseprotocols to implement applications. According to the logical function ofBluetooth protocols, the protocols stack is divided into three parts: transmittinglayer protocols, Intermediate layer protocols, application layer protocols.Transmitting layer protocols are responsible for Bluetooth equipment whichconfirm location each other, as well as establish and manage the physical andlogical link between the bluetooth development equipment. The Intermediatelayer protocols support for the high layer protocols or programs on the bluetoothlogic link, and provide various interfaces for application layer protocols.Application layer protocols are application software above Bluetooth protocolsstack. Application profiles define protocols stacks of Bluetooth products andgeneral functions, various functions realized process and so on.Secondly, the thesis introduces GPS navigation system in this project, whichis made of the vehicle system, the monitoring center, the communication network.The vehicle system is the most important part in this paper. J6 vehicle terminalsystem is designed for FAW Jiefang truck, in this project automotive hands-freekit with Bluetooth is the major problem expatiated. This article gives a plan ofhands-free application, based on analyzing Bluetooth hands-free applicationprofile. Then, it introduces each part in this plan, expatiates Bluetooth hands-freemodule. The bluetooth hands-free system has tow parts: One is the bluetoothheadset;the other is the Bluetooth hands-free kit. The latter one is expatiated partin the article. In the part of hardware, choosing chips, designing modules, anddesigning interfaces are expatiated. In the part of software, that Bluetoothhands-free profile and serial interface application profile are used in Bluetoothhands-free system is analyzed, as well as transmutation method based on RS232and communication flow with point to point are gave after HCI (Host ControlInterface) is analyzed.Finally, test the whole system. Testing contains two parts: One is the datatransmitting;the other is the audio communication. Because the system doesn'trealize completely, PC controls the bluetooth module to test the data transmitting.Bluetooth module can realize the functions of the baseband and the radiofrequency, and connect and communication with PC by the RS232. The ACLdata communication flow has 6 steps: initialize the bluetooth module, set the HCIflow control, inquiry, connect, transmit the datum and disconnect. The audiocommunication is based on LabPro development board of CSR. The LabProdevelopment suite is a embedded development tool of application programswhich runs in CSR Bluetooth chips. Bluetooth hands-free and Bluetooth headsetprotocol stacks are transplanted into development board with bluelab 2.9 softwareplatform, which is realized the audio communication between headset andhands-free system.This thesis gives a plan of Bluetooth hands-free system, and tests the datatransmitting. The audio communication is tested with Bluetooth developmentsuite.
