| Expert system is one of the most active and widely used fields of artificial intelligence. It is successfully utilized in the fields of agriculture, manufacture, medical diagnosis, error detection, and so on. The introduction of expert system technology to meters design can make meters design knowledge and experience repeatedly applied and widely shared, and thus improves meters design deficiency. Moreover, with the development of computer assistance design techniques, such application is of practical significance and can be widely put into use.This essay deals with the exploitation of the Web-based meters design expert system. Such system makes full use of the convenience of Internet with expert system as the core. Compared to other ordinary expert systems, it is featured by easy maintenance and operation, and provides a new method for knowledge acquisition. The main research work is listed as follows:1. The comprehensive architecture and function model are proposed based on the analysis of the background, the developing situation both home and abroad, and the research significance of the Web-based meters design expert system. More details are given to the system reasoning procedures.2. The meters design knowledge is studied. Based on different characteristics of the knowledge, databases are organized in various forms, such as rule databases, case databases, module databases, component databases, and model databases.3. According to the meters design characteristics, a comprehensive reasoning method is put forward, which takes CBR as the lead and RBR as the basis, and combines two reasoning patterns that are independent but complementary for each other. Such kind of method complies with people's design habits, and promotes reasoning quality and efficiency.4. A series of systematic detection and validation work is done to expert system. And results show that the Web-based expert system makes meters faster, more intelligent, and even much networked. Such design meets the need of our clients. |
