The accurate and integrated real time data from manufacturing process could provide key information for scheduling, planning and cost management. However it usually lacks integrity and veracity. Process simulation, covered by mathematic modeling, process system, control instruments, algorithms of data reconciliation, etc, is a new synthetic technique which develops rapidly in recent decades. Supported by techniques of database, internet and simulation, process simulation designs new process models or uses the existed ones and then develops the unit modules based on them. The integrated information could be obtained from process simulation, based on which many research could be implemented and the more accurate and integrated result could be achieved.This thesis presents a simulation platform of material flow and energy consumption in a factory on the basis of IntelSim[l]-a flowsheet simulation platform of intelligent plant. Based on output/energy consumption models of different process conditions, an improved platform of process consumption of material and energy is developed. By simulating the material flow and energy flow in the industrial process of a large refinery -Maoming petrochemical plant, the simulation platform provides data resource for data reconciliation and MES application. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:In Chapter 1, a survey of background of this project, the development of process simulation and other related researches are presented.In Chapter 2, the primary theory of mathematical modeling and Aspen Plus which is a simulation software system based on first principal static model, are introduced. The process of modeling the material flow, energy consumption and output/energy consumption using Stat. method is also described in detail.In Chapter 3, simulation models of material flow model, output/consumption model and process models under different process conditions are proposed.In Chapter 4, the development and implement of simulation system are presented, including the architecture, user interface, model development, database and operation environment.In Chapter 5, the platform configuration and implementation of industrial process in Maoming petrochemical plant are proposed, and the simulation results areanalyzed.In Chapter 6, the application of simulation results is described, including Data Reconciliation research and Data Source of other application systems in MES.In Chapter 7, this thesis concludes with a summary and prospects of future researches.
