Nowadays microelectronic technology marked by the development of integrated circuits has become the basis of information industry. Integrated circuits are classified as digital circuits, analog circuits and mixed signal circuits according to their functions. With the increase of system integration and application demands, more and more digital and analog modules are embedded in a single chip. Mixed signal circuits are most widely used in the communication and consumer electronics fields. And consumer electronics products have become one of the mainsprings of the high speed development of global IC (Integrate Circuit) industry.Taking an overall view of IC design industry, design technology is behind the development of the process and technology. As for analog IC field, the situation becomes more serious. Automation degree of analog IC design lags far behind that of digital IC. Therefore analog circuits are the bottleneck for mixed signal circuits design.This thesis first discusses the design methodology of mixed signal circuits. Design flows of digital and analog circuits are talked about, which is based on design abstraction levels. Then mixed signal circuits design flow is canvassed. And some key problems are disserted, such as mixed level simulation and mixed level physical design.By applying the design methodology of mixed signal circuits, this thesis discusses the design of two kinds of consumer electronics mixed signal chips. After describing system level design and modules partition, design methods and techniques of the analog circuits in the chips, which include RC oscillator, power on reset circuit and crystal oscillator, are dwelled on. Finally, the dissertation refers to the full-chip simulation, mixed level physical design and so on.
