Road And Traffic Sign Recognition For Assistant Drive Of Huge Vehicle

Intelligent vehicle not only can relax driver from boring drive, but alsocan prevent the accident which is caused by the scatterbrained driver, so it hasextensive application foreground. Automatic drive or assistant drive and pre-alarm system are the important research content of intelligent transportationsystem. Based on the request of the project, the paper research the road androad sign recognition, according to the pre-alarm system of 900T truck.The first part is the resolvent of road recognition . The part has strict requ-est to safety when the vehicle is on the road. So the system has to provide theparameters of displacement and angle's windage. For the mark line recognition ,recognize the mark line in near field of vision by adopting linear roadway mo-del. Then using the parameters to gain the displacement and angle's windage.For the non-line road , make use of edge detection and region growing to getthe exact information of road boundaries as they are very close in the space.The second part is to get the road sign from the complicated environment,this is a very difficult problem for the computer. Several steps are used to reco-gnize the road sign, including color information, texture analysis and so on.From the experimental result ,when the ray is good, the identify rate is 85%;when the ray is not very good, the identify rate is 70%.
