| Rate control plays a critical role in video coding system, it can regulate output bit stream to meet the channel rate, while keeping good decoded picture quality. The theories of stereo vision and 2D rate control methods are introduced firstly, then stereo video coding methods are summarized, and then a platform for stereo video coding is designed based on H.263.A common allocation rate control method based on p domain is realized on the proposed platform, the results show that, it controls the bit stream very well, and the error control bits are no more than 1% of total bits. Finally, a discussion on none common allocation rate control method is proposed. |
