The PDM System Based On C/S And B/S

More and more digital information has been input into the computer system of manufacturing enterprise, the product data has been the most important inventory on which the enterprise's daily operations depend. The enterprises are making efforts to find a way to improve their product design efficiency; to reduce time to market and lower manufacturing costs. It is required that designer should consider assembly, manufacturing on the very early stage of product development. Served as a technology to manage the relative information and process during the course of products being made, PDM can help enterprises to share their product data timely and support the concurrent development of the product strongly.According to the current situation that PDM system is more and more widely applied and much more requirements for it come out in enterprises, the dissertation expatiates its conception and sums up its research actuality and analyzes its key technology and systematic framework. According to actual requirement of instrument enterprise, this dissertation puts forward the total structure of PDM system based on C/S and B/S .The dissertation discussed the structure of function parts: User and purview management, IJiles management, Projects management, workflow management, and so on and introduces the processes of design and realization of each part. The key technologies are discussed in detail in this dissertation about this system development, which includes the automation pick-up of title bar information, generating of product structural tree.generating of Bill of Material, Mail communication management,Database system security, and so on.The developing language of this system is Powerbuilder9.0, which is owned to Sybase Corporation. The supporting database is Microsoft SQL Server2000. The system runs on Windows2000 or Windows98 operation system. It is based on object-oriented design method, and the system runs all right.
