With the extensive application of computer networks , along with the requisition to net-system security from some special departments ,there came some special network protocols and communication systems, and anonymous communication protocol is one of them. Anonymous communications ,because of its anonymity of the ID and relationship of the two communication parties ,becomes the basic requisition of many on-line network applications and the popular research area for network security researchers.This thesis discusses anonymous communication techniques and its applications.Firstly, this thesis explicates the concept of anonymous communication protocols and the definition of secure anonymous communications . It researches on the present state and further development trend of anonymous communications .At the same time, it analyses and ranges the present anonymous communication protocols and anonymous communication systems, while points out their technical problems, key point of researches, some potential problems and the research trend.Secondly ,this thesis has an introduction to the research on resisting attacks of the present anonymous communication protocol and anonymous communication system. Analyzing the probable threat to the anonymous communication system. It ranges and analyses the comparable research on resisting attacks of many of the present anonymous communication protocol and anonymous communication system, offering an warranty for designing a new anonymous communication protocol.This thesis emphasizes on the improvement of the anonymous communication protocol in multicast application environment and the system design describe. With the wide application of the new technique from the internet, such as video conferencing, distance education, internet games and so on, these techniques need multicast siding effective and distributive transmission, and all multicast demand anonymity. According to the anonymous objects from the receiver and sender in the multicast application environment, this thesis proposes a new anonymous multicast protocol-SMAP. Basing on the anonymous communication protocol of the proxy,bringing in camouflage multicast and randomized probability rerouting, we could realize multi-anonymity and ensuring that the system anonymity capacity could get some security while some proxies are attacked. The structure and implementation of the new protocol is described, and the performance and the cost for anonymity inthe protocol are also concludedIn the end, it explicates the frame design of protocol.
