Following the 3G to be deployed in China, the bandwidth of mobile network will greatly increase and the streaming media service as a main application in 3G is to develop quickly too. Aiming at the various requirements, such as flexible, robust and scalable architecture, new transport protocol design of media file and QoS in the mobile streaming media service, the paper respectively presents corresponding solutions to them.First, a message-map based control pattern is presented, which integrates the message handling mechanism in windows programming and FSM often used in daemon design so that it can support consistent handling to daemon's multiservice and multiversion, smooth switch of users' current type of service, convenient modification of implementation and redefinition of program's flow.Second, a coordinator based peer to peer distributed server architecture is presented, which can efficiently handle load-balance and error-resilient problems in the distributed system.Third, the paper presents a new UDP-based transport protocol of the media file over low-bandwidth error-prone wireless links. The protocol is based on the concept of application-level framing and TCP-friendly due to its flow control and congestion avoidance characteristics. Finally, the paper introduces flow switching and frame discarding methods in order to improve the quality of live video broadcast. |
