Chaos is the indeterminate, pseudorandom phenomenon that appears in confirmed, macroscopically, no-linear system in some condition, and now it has become a new science rapidly. Chaos science merged into the other sciences, and was used broadly in various fields. Chaos system has good characteristics such as the evolvement of system is very sensitive to initial value, pseudorandom-city, and inscrutability. The distinct characteristic is the system evolvement's sensitivity to initial value.This paper makes research on chaos theory and fingerprint identification, the working is as follows:1. The characteristic of chaotic system is just the same as that of modern cryptology, so using chaos encryption system has to do a set of randomness tests on the chaos sequence, the test standard roots in NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) for the statistical analysis of binary random sequence. A chaos sequence randomicity tests software for some common chaos sequence is programmed, then some result analyses is presented.2. The chaos verification system make user's ID information card by chaos encrypted fingerprint information, then the system compares the spot input fingerprint with the decrypted fingerprint information to realize identity verification. The assistant key was presented in the system, can improve the encryption security by the "one key one time" process which can resist plain-text attack.3. This is the part and parcel of this paper which is about the fingerprint recognition arithmetic. Fingerprint recognition arithmetic, including fingerprint preprocessing, fingerprint thinning, fingerprint minutiae extracting and fingerprint matching is realized by programme. Gabor filter is used to eliminate noise and enhance the stripe in fingerprint preprocessing process. After that the binary fingerprint image is changed to one pixel width spot and line image in order to extract minutiae. Then some parameters between the spot input fingerprint and decrypted fingerprint information are calculated, after the position correction the matching minutiae number was recorded, the system can using the number to make identity verification.? A novel and effective method of singularity detection based on Gabor filter is put forward. Gabor filter is used as a tool for fingerprint enhancement at eight different orientations. A binary composed image is gotten by computing the variance and binarization of the enhanced image. The singularity area can be checked by the neighbor area's intensity and color change.The chaos verification system doesn't need database at all, and can be realize by digital signal processing hardware. It is convenient and high-efficient, has a good prosperity.
