The Design And Implementation Of A Book Information Website Based On J2EE

With the rapid development of computer and information technology, e-business is being applied widely. The thesis analyzes a kind of applied website design scheme based on J2EE through the design and implementation of a book information website. It mainly discusses the web applied architecture, Struts frame, component technology, multi-layer design technology and so on. When with the scale extended and complexity increased in the software system, the choice of the software architecture becomes more important than that of data structure and algorithm. The thesis discusses the models of web applied architecture, compares and analyses the popular technology of .NET and J2EE, and make sure J2EE as the system design architecture. The system based upon B/S architecture is developed by MVC model. The system is a multi-layer architecture: layer of web adopts Struts1.1 as the design frame, the layer of transaction is organized by components of Controller, EventHandler, DAO and the layer of data adopts MySQL4.0. The system is developed with the tools of Jbuilder 2005 and deployed on the platform of Weblogic 8.1. The thesis gives out the basic functions of a book information website of a publishing house. It fulfills the design and implementation of main function in the book information website including book information management, user information management, order information management and users'comments. It basically forms the framework of a book information website. The thesis puts forward a kind of design scheme of e-business website based on J2EE, demonstrates the following traits like component-based design, multi-layer application, component reuse etc. Although it is a prototype system of e-business, it shows some good ideas such as cross-platform, easily-maintenance, easily-expanded-ness and component-based design, and it can be used commercially only with a little polish.
