The Study Face Detecting Method Base On Gray Distribute

With the development of technology, the traditional identity recognition cannot meet the increasing demands. The biologic characteristic based identity recognition such as iris and fingerprint needs very strict information collection conditions, which makes it difficult to be used practically. The verification of biologic character based on the face detection has advantages such as friendly interactivity, convenience, and low demands for hardware, etc. These advantages have attracted more and more attentions in recent years. The face detection is used not only for face recognition, .but also for .the Content Search and Digital Video Processing. Its research is of great significance and practical valueThe main research work and achievements of this paper include the following major aspects:1. After summarizing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of many arithmetic of edge examination, some researches about the image process have been done and several integrated methods applied in the following face detecting testing achieved better results.2. After the comparison of different kinds of region search, some progresses have been made in its arithmetic, which later applied in the facing detecting.3. A face detecting method based on gray feature distribute in the core region (brow, eye, nose, mouth .etc) in face has been proposed after the analyzing and comparison of the research about the face detecting at home and abroad. At first obtain some regions which may contain the human face through multi-dimensional image analysis and process, and search these regions by special gray feature distribution. The size and position of human face in the image will be located according to synthesizing gray features and their related in the end.4. Based on the theory mentioned above, a face detection system is developed. The system used c++ programming language under IDE VS2005.Net and Windows2003 Server operating system. Experimental results demonstrate that the method can quickly and accurately detect human face in complex background.5. A photo database is build using face detection, which has more index ability.
