Recently, with the driven power of massive data and economies of scale, cloud computing technology has been wildly researched and used. This technology, however, is far from completed. From the users'side, there're problems such as complexities on modeling and manipulation. What's more, cloud computing transactions are no longer the only target of users, but a part of demand. From the performance side, there're also lots of aspects to be improved. All in all, how to meet new demands, improve executing performance as well as users'experience, is really a challenge to cloud computing technology.In this paper, we believe the cloud computing oriented workflow technology, which is the complex of workflow and cloud computing technologies, can be a solution for above question. As for users of could computing, cloud workflow enables a complex application instance to be abstractly defined, flexibly configured and auto-operated; for enterprises who provide cloud services, cloud workflow brings them auto-scheduling of tasks, optimization and management of computing resource.First of all, we introduced the overall framework of cloud computing oriented workflow system, emphasized on distributed workflow engine and underlying Hadoop module. Then, a DMC based self-configuration algorithm is introduced to implement the scalability of―cloud workflow‖system, which will maintain the overall performance on a stable and optimal level. After that, we showed the detailed make-up and deployment of Hadoop module, as well as the integration steps between workflow system and Hadoop, such as cloud transaction modeling, map/reduce functions generating, ansynchronized workflow engine and the webservice which support the communication between engine and Hadoop. At last, we introduced the prototype system of cloud computing oriented workflow system with an application sample named new drug discovery.The practical application shows the simplicity and validity of our prototype system in modeling and executing cloud computing transactions. The system is equipped with stable and optimal performance, perfect usability, reliability, scalability and good-designed interface. We believe there will be a brilliant foreground of the cloud computing oriented workflow system.
