802.11 protocol is a wireless local area network standard developed by IEEE. It is mainly used to solve the wireless LAN access. Current WMN product assigns the fixed slot length to Transit link, so the QoS of WMN can not meet the requirements of actual applications. In order to provide better data and related services such as VOIP, network quality of service (QoS) is the focus of improvement in latest wireless mesh network. In WMN, the slot length of the Transit Link and the hops of Mesh network are most important factors to determine the maximum transmission delay. This design of DSC is used to dynamically allocate the slot length of a transit link (TL), so that the Mesh network can achieve end to end delay requirements. This Mechanism can adjust the slot length according to the real-time congestion status of transit link to enhance the through-put and QoS of this network. This paper proposes the calculation method and result analysis. This paper improves the network QoS mechanism by adding three modules. HTIC is an interface can get the historical data of traffic. HTIC sends the data to the DSC. DSC can select a suitable slot according to the data and system requirements. IPM propagates information and sends to all APs in the mesh tree. The modular design can improve the efficiency of the implementation of the algorithm to reduce the complexity of the mechanism. The log system and configuration file are also improved. The paper introduces the interaction and negotiation between the three modules, also the detail algorithm and the calculation of transmission threshold in HTIC, also introduces the negotiation mechanism of DSC, slot calculation, slot extension mechanism, management improvement, and other improvements of DSC.My main work includes: participation in discussion of the feasibility of DSC modules and the specific design of DSC modules. I am responsible for research and improve the existing mechanism of LD. After design is completed, test plan and cases are drafted for testing. The modules and functions have been verified in compatibility and functional test. The system fully meets the design requirements of the system.
