Doppler lidar based on the edge technique of Fabry–Perot etalon, and it has lots of advantages, such as high measure precision, high spatial and temporal resolution, high stability, miniaturization, and it becomes the only tool that can carry out three-dimensional wind measurements of the globe. However the Doppler lidar can only measure the radial component of the wind, we must develop the method of retrieval wind field in order to get the true wind vector. In the measurement of wind, we should get the message of wind speed in a certain scanning mode, so software programming is needed to control the scanning mode of wind field. The software system designed by this technology has simple frame, complete functions, friendly interface, short development cycle, so we choose it as the instrument of our software development.In this paper we first analyze the basic principle of Doppler lidar and the correlation theory of retrieval wind field. On this basis we develop the software system to control the mode of motion of rotating floor by LabVIEW, so we can control the scanning mode of wind field. After the discussion of various methods of retrieval wind field, we choose the VAP method to get the wind vector for attempt. And at last we obtain the wind field, we also analyze the result of retrieval wind field, in which the reason to effect the precision is found.Virtual Instrument has come out.It captures the signal through hardware,and processes data through software.This kind of instrument has totally changed our thoughts of traditional measurement instrument.The test system designed by this technology has simple frame,complete functions,friendly interface,short development cycle,so it has been broadly used in the field of automatization test and measure.In this paper, the theory of Doppler lidar and data acquisition and process is firstly introduced. I designed a data acquisition and processing system for Doppler lidar used LabVIEW as the software development platform,took many measurements through the signal generator.And then I used LabVIEW simulate the echo signl of the lidar.Finally,I took many measurements of the echo signl of the lidar,and deal with the data through the system I designed.
