With the application and development of digital image processing technology, the technology of tracking moving target is becoming a hot research topic. Moreover, it has a broad application prospect in many fields such as military and commercial fields. With the in-depth study of the theoretical and experimental research, the tracking technology is continually improved and becoming mature. The purpose of tracking is to provide an effective support for capturing and combating the target. To achieve this task, we must timely and accurately distinguish the moving target and obtain the motion parameters of the object such as displacement, speed and acceleration. It is necessary to design a system of tracking target which is smaller, more cost-effective and has higher data-processing capability.Along with the development of computer and modern electronic design technology, especially the emergence of the programmable system on chip SOPC (System on Pro-grammable Chip), it is mostly possible to realize these objectives. This paper, based on the study of moving target research, gives us a new solution which is using the techno-logy of SOPC to realize the task of tracking moving target.In this paper, it has described the situation and existing problems of the tracking moving target technology, and on this basis, some key techniques of the moving target tracking system are studied. First, the experimental environment and conditions of moving object is set and the target motion model also is established. On the basis, the more mature prediction algorithm which fit the hardware is selected. According to the modular design concept, the tools of the programmable system on chip are configured andμC / OS-II real time operating system is ported to Nios II processsors .The moving target tracking hardware platform based on SOPC is built. FPGA is implemented in the Kalman filter algorithm for hardware implementation, and simulation is conducted. Based on the SOPC technology, the over-all structure of real-time image processing system is built. What's more, embedded processors, data storage, display and other modules of the system are respectively designed. In the way of making soft / hardware work together, we complete the task which is detecting and tracking of the dynamic target.Experiment results show that using SOPC technology to track the dynamic target is feasible and effective. This research accumulates more experience for others to produce more advanced target tracking system which is based on SOPC. At the same time, it is very important to promote the use of the FPGA and SOPC technology in the field of complex control for it serves for a later reference. |
