Application Of Data Mining In Ideological And Political Education Management

In recent years, the research of data mining has developed rapidly and the construction of informationization in instructional management system also received great progress. Lots of management systems have accumulated plenty of data. But, the application of data mining in instructional management system is still in the early stage, thus the research on how to apply the technology of data mining in instructional management system has important meaning in both theory and practice.Concerning about the issue of management on the ideology and political instruction in universities, which is on the list of ideological and political education management, the most important tache in my dissertation is to use the Clustering Analysis technology in data mining field to analyze the performance appraisal quantization table of tutors. The traditional way of analyzing is based on the calculation of the absolute points, which has drawback and insufficient in the results'objectiveness and veracity. Continuing the traditional method is to some point unfair to the tutors while the effect of their manage work can't be judged efficaciously and properly. We can overcome the shortcomings of traditional analyze way by applying the idea of Clustering Analysis in data mining, using the k-means algorithm to analyze the performance appraisal quantization table of tutors, detailed work is as follows:1. Summarize the study of data mining technology and its status quo, and the problems existing in the process of data mining, and discuss the concept, function, process in Clustering Analysis, as well as the various kinds of data types of it.2. Discuss the usual type of clustering algorithm in Clustering Analysis technology, especially probe into the ones which are more intelligibility and handy to the small and medium data bases.3. Based on the clustering algorithm in data mining technology, we further discuss the application of it in the ideology and political education management of universities. The performance appraisal quantization table in the ideology and political education management of universities can be the data source for Clustering Analysis. After the completion of preprocessing, we do clustering analysis in the approach of k-means algorithm, and finally obtain some practical conclusion through further test and verify.
