DTN ( Delay and Disruption-Tolerant interoperable Networking ) are characterized by intermittent connectivity, long delays and often constrained bandwidth. DTN represents a broad class of networks such as interplanetary internets, under water sensor networks, and vehicular networks. The characteristics of DTN make Communication, Congestion Control, security became well-known challenges. So the DTNRG was created by the IRTF to research the DTN networking. And then a new protocol named Bundle was introduced to face the challenge. The Delay Tolerant Networking Bundle Protocol includes a custody transfer mechanism to overcome these challenge. Many new technologies are studied in DTN such as new MAC layer protocols, new routing protocols, Congestion Control protocols and the Bundle protocol.This thesis focuses on the Congestion Control Strategy of Delay Tolerant Networking. The main content and the original techniques are as follow:1. We introduced the history of the DTN, and presented some research projects on DTN. Then we Research and analysis the DTN routing and DTN Congestion Control Strategy.2. We proposed a new Congestion Control Strategy model named WDCCS. Drop policy and send policy were both considered in WDCCS, So WDCCS could improve the valuable messages. The experiments show that WDCCS can improve the delivery rate.3. We researched on some Ad Hoc networking that has the characters of DTN. We analyzed the Custom Drop policy in DTN and made some experiments. Then we proposed a new Drop policy CWDS. The delivery probability and the message copies were both considered in the CWDS. And the result of the experiments shows that CWDS has excellent delivery rate, but has a poor performance in the network average latency. Then we proposed an improved scheme named TCWDS. The TCWDS can reduce the network average latency.
