Snmpv2 Agreement Safety Analysis And Practice

Network security is a very important problem within network management.The SNMP is the most widely applied network management protocol,but it'sweakly security in the earlier version is always a blemish.The SNMPv3 resolvedthis,but it is not widely and really used because of the highly cost of systemrebuilding.The article multianalysis SNMP protocol, did the detailed elaborationits each historical edition in protocol security question, discussed the safethreat and its the safe limitation and the insufficiency which SNMPfaced;Proposed network management station and agent's design proposal basedon the SNMPv2, and chose the USM security model in the base of realityapplication edition——SNMPv2 through the research and analysis, joined it tothe SNMPv2 course of communications, proposed security protocol designproposal based on the SNMPv2 message and the USM security model, basicallyguaranteed the security of network management and the correspondence basedon the SNMP protocol.Based on the above design proposal, the SNMPmanagement station and the agent object and it's the entity procedure wasrealized by useing object-oriented and the modular design method, the USMsafe processing module which was defined in the SNMPv3 agreement wasrealized. The test result indicates that the realized SNMP management stationand the agent basically satisfied the request of network safety management andthe correspondence.Finally, this article discussed the existence issue and furtherthe research work.
