This dissertation mainly deals with some issues in the development of PLC based high-speed case packer's network control system, which is required by the automation equipment used in the production of transfusion softener. The following work is accomplished:□According to the needs analysis of control system, the research raises a proposal in which PLC and fieldbus are used to control the packaging machine. The high reliability and low cost are the advantages of this proposal.□The method of controlling Diamond manipulator with PLC is researched. In this method, path data is generated in computer first, and then the data is sent to PLC by communication program. The PLC stores the data as parameter list in its register and calls the parameter list when the control is needed.□In order to improve the reliability of PLC control system, several methods are proposed, such as reducing electromagnetic interference, using high reliability power supply and adopting watchdog program.□To promote managerial effectiveness of factory, MODBUS RTU, a kind of fieldbus, which has advantages of simple structure and high traffic rate is used, and the method of communication and control under MODBUS RTU is studied.□Zero RES and Pick-Place experiments have been done to verify the functions of control system. Optimized parameters are found from the experimental data in order to promote the efficiency of the case packer.
