"The drive and control system for two-degree-of-freedom positioning of sensor probes", which is used to locate probes in the tester, is strongly needed in the area of fundamental research on injection blowing tester of combustion turbine, because the lack of experiment facilities with miniature volume and high positioning precise leads to experiment failure. The positioning system provides straight-line and angular displacement for probes to measure the pressure, temperature and other parameters of the tester.In this paper, the general design methods of system and the internal structure of locating system are introduced. To reduce the volume of system, special step motor with hollow shaft is used as executor of angular displacement, and another micro step- motor combined with ball screw assist probes to complete straight-line movement. This paper focuses on the development of the precise drive controller for micro step-motor open-loop control, which can not only drive the special step- motor, but also communicate with the PC with CAN bus, so the PC can realize remote control for the whole system.According to the desire of the research institution and technical requirements, to verify the system locating precision, the testing system is made to test the straight-line and angular displacement precision. The experimental result shows that the locating precision of drive and control system can meet the design requirements.
