Ultra-wideband(UWB) wireless communication technology is an emerging wireless communication technology, it has the outstanding advantages such as high transfer rate, large system capacity, low power consumption, low system complexity, low power spectral density and so on, is becoming a research focus of the field of wireless communications in the recent years. Compared to the traditional UWB technology, Chirp UWB has the advantages such as peak to average power ratio(PAPR)close to 1, strong ranging positioning capability, long transmission distance and so on, access to extensive research and attention, and has a very broad application prospects.In this paper, the basic principles of Chirp UWB is introduced at first, including the theory of pulse compression, Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) , as well as the basic principles of UWB, and then mainly studies the generation technology of Chirp UWB signal. The implementation of tranmitter in Chirp UWB communication system is proposed by analysed and compared these generation technology, that is combined the Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) and Phase Locked Loop (PLL) technology to produce ultra-wideband Chirp signal, and achieved data modulation through the Binary on-off keying (OOK) way. The transmitter for Chirp UWB wireless communication system is designed and implemented the specific circuits. The Chirp UWB signal that transmitter generated has a good performance in the actual testing. The overall system is builded and debugged by my schoolmates and me, successfully implement the Chirp UWB wireless communications.
