With the computer and communications technology evolves, wireless mobile computer network technology is widely used and developed. Mobile Ad hoc network has many advantages and benefits:without accessing to basic network infrastructure and unified network management, etc. These excellent and special feature got the people's attention more and more during these years. All sorts of Ad hoc network routing protocols are appropriately proposed, which related to protocol performance analysis and performance evaluation caught more and more attention by the academic, become the latest hotspot.Ad hoc dynamic network topology can not use the traditional fixed network routing protocols. Routing technology have been an prominent bottlenecks of technology, and it become an obstacle to one of the key technologies of Ad hoc network. In recent years, more and more Ad hoc network routing protocols such as DSR, AODV, DSDV, and TORA, etc. These Ad hoc network routing protocols was proposed by ETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) of the MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Network) group. These protocols can be used to compose the mobile Ad hoc network routing protocols. Each protocol has its own characteristics, for different network environments, how can we fully self-organized and completely self-configuring network protocols to meet different network environment, it will become the Ad hoc routing protocols of research in a important direction and development goals. This paper studied in detail on the DSR routing protocols, and analyzed the problems in DSR routing and a variety of optimization strategies, including the DSR routing protocol routing search mechanism and routing maintenance mechanisms. In addition, this paper presented a mobility prediction mechanism. Ad hoc network topology for the dynamic characteristics of the link state between nodes is also changing. When the distance between two nodes in the network go beyond the network hop radius, the two nodes will not be able to communicate directly, then link failure. By using the prediction mechanism, we can calculate the survival time of each link, as an important indicator from the evaluation of the stability of the network link . In depth analysis of the DSR routing protocol with mobility prediction mechanism, the paper proposed a mechanism based on mobility prediction model for the stability of the DSR. Through analysis we can see: In the network, the stability index is a concave function. Take link the minimum survival time of the various links in the routing, as the stability of the entire routing link stability evaluation indexes. When you need to start a routing search, you can set the value of the network link stability threshold, selecting the link transmission which stable value is more than the routing threshold value. Such a mechanism ensure the stability of network routing, while also taking into account the performance of routing hops. Finally the article constructed a mobile Ad hoc network model using MATLAB software. The DSR routing protocol and basing on mobility prediction mechanism of DSR are analyzed and compared with each other. In a word, Simulation results show that the mechanism of the DSR-based mobility prediction model can effectively improve the stability of the network routing effectiveness, make full use of the network's overall performance, and effectively make up for deficiencies in DSR routing protocol.
