Impurity elimination system of tobacco is a kind of automated equipment, which is used to eliminate the impurity from the raw tobacco. Its use enhances greatly the level of automation and debases the work stress of worker. It is enormously significant for enhancing the quality of final products and accelerating compete force.Image acquisition system is basis of impurity elimination system of tobacco achieving its function, which sits at the heart of the system. With the maturity of FPGA, more and more embedded design use FPGA as its controller of system. This system is a kind of image acquisition system based on FPGA, which makes full use of FPGA to implement the logic control of the whole system. First, the system uses the special Camera Link interface chip to get image data from CCD camera, and then transfers the data to SDRAM for caching, which solves the problem of speed out of step between FPGA and PCI bus. At last, the system uses PCI9054 chip to communicate with PCI bus, which implements the function of data transmission.In this dissertation, hardware and software are discussed in detail respectively. In the part of hardware, first the general plan of system is given, and the feasibility is demonstrated. Then the dissertation introduces the whole design of hardware, the problem such as chip selection and design principle in every model is also discussed. In the part of software, the logic control of system is implemented by programming the FPGA with Verilog HDL. According to the request of system, DriverStudio is used as developing tool comparing with others to program WDM driver and application. At last the image acquisition card is debugged in Windows environment successfully and the planned target is achieved.
