270V high voltage DC power system is becoming the hot research spot of aircraft power supply for its small weight, uninterrupted power supply and high power density of the electric power. Maintain a good quality of the power system is a key issue of the safe operation of the aircraft. As one typical load, the pulsing input currents of Single-Phase Aeronautical Static Inverter pollute the aircraft power system seriously. How to eliminate harmonic pollution in the high voltage dc system attracts more and more attention. The input current of single phase inverter under SPWM control, one important part of Aeronautical Static Inverter, is deeply analyzed. The results show that low frequency harmonic of the input currents is hard to reduce by traditional passive power filter. So this paper put a strong emphasis on the study of the active compensation approach to reduce the effects of the low order harminc to the high voltage power system. One type DCAPF applying Boostbuck topology is studied in this work. Low order input current harmonic of single phase inverter is compensated by this topology, with no power dissipated. Operation principle of the Boostbuck DCAPF under hysteresis current control is analyzed. Detail hardware design method and simulation verification is given. In order to solve the"shoot-through"of Boostbuck DCAPF and meet the requirement of high reliability, another DCAPF applying dual buck topology is proposed. Detail operation principle is of the novel DCAPF is analyzed. In order to study the control performance, small signal model of inner current model is given. Simulation results confirm the validity of the novel DCAPF. Finally, a 1kVA prototype of inverter is set up, and two prototypes based on the presented DCAPFs used for compensating the input current harmonics have been built. Experimental results verify the validity of the above analysis and design.
