Optical sensing technology developed from the 1970's. Use the light as the carrier, fiber as transmission medium, detects the measured signal. Optical fiber Bragg grating sensor has many advantages, just like anti-electromagnetism interference, corrosion resistance, small size and light weight, small transmission loss, easy to multiplex etc. Recently years, fiber grating sensors were widely used in engineering for the health and safety testing and the intelligent material structure detection; they are also used in the military, medicine, intelligent navigation and other areas for monitoring.In this paper the development status of fiber grating sensor are summarized, study the fiber Bragg grating sensor demodulation method, the sensing properties, FBG sensor multiplexing technique and the principle of data acquisition system. Based on the principles, fiber grating sensing system was prepared.(1) A multiplied sensors system based on AMPCI9101A is described, and a novel method of detecting phase shift which utilize software is proposed. The system which employs piezoelectric transducers (PZT) to achieve phase modulation, using data acquisition card (AMPCI9101A) to collect the carrier signal, using the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to detect the phase modulation signal. The system achieves 7 channels (up to 15 channels) multiplied sensors'synchronization, real-time demodulation with resolution up to 2.65×10-3nm. This system uses software to process the acquisition signal, and the MZ interferometer was encapsulated, effectively reduce the noise. This system can detect both static and dynamic signal and has a merit of simple structure and low cost.(2) Prepared matched fiber optical grating sensing demodulation system based on AMPCI9101A. Designed a rectangular beam of uniform strength for tuning the matched fiber grating wavelength, using data acquisition card (AMPCI9101A) to collect the signal, using Gaussian fitting peak searching algorithm to process the signal. The experimental results show that this method can test 9.73nm shifter of FBG center wavelength.The systems use AMPCI9101A data acquisition card to collect signal, collection signal through the PCI bus interface into a computer, using the software tests the drift of fiber grating center wavelength, effectively reduce the introduction noise. The systems can have a merit of simple structure and low cost, easy to implement system intelligent.
