The Detection Study Of Traffic Flow And Vehicle Queue Based On Video

Video detection technology has a broad prospect in traffic monitoring system. The video-based detection of traffic information is compared with tradition detection, it has many merits, such as the installation simplicity, maintenance expediently, wide range of detecting, various information and so on.Upon the Microsoft Visual c++6.0 as the analysis tool of image processing and the background of detecting moving vehicles in an intelligent video-based road traffic monitoring system and video streams obtained by CCD camera as the research object, in this thesis, we focus our research on some key techniques in detecting moving objects, such as the background extraction, the background and the threshold update, the image segmentation, the detection of vehicular traffic and the queuing incident, and propose a robust algorithm of detecting moving vehicles on road. We also apply our algorithm to some function of the detecting moving objects in the Parameters and traffic incident detection system.The main contents can be listed as follows:a.Designing the user interface of Parameters and traffic incident detection system. With the player of*. raw video format, the video segmentation and the video processing functions.b.Realizing some function of image processing, such as the image smoothing, the background extraction, the background and the threshold update and the image segmentation.c. Realizing some function of Parameters and traffic incident detection system. such as the detection of vehicular traffic and the queuing incident.the paper brings forth innovation below:(1) A new background extraction arithmetic has been presented in section of background extraction with shorter processing time taken for a better effect.(2) Corresponding feasibility suggestion has been put forward in case of system inaccurate judge triggered by virtual coil detection.
