With the development of three dimensional laser scanning technology, using three dimensional laser scanning technology to computer protection of reverse engineering for buildings become more and more popular, which become the hot spot in scholoars studying.Using three dimensional laser scanning technology make buildings saved in computer in form of the digital, which provides great convenience for the building work in the future. However, due to the diversity and complexity of buildings, the large amounts of data created in building cannot express building model accurately.The object of researching is three dimensional modeling of three dimensional laser scanner technique in building aspect, using optech three dimensional laser scanner to get registration of building scanning data, as many aspects of the scanning object itself causes in shelting, so we need many different angle scanning to the same building, and then we need to registrate the multi-point scanning data and unite them in the same coordinate. The efficiency of registration will have a significant impact on the efficiency of the process of reconstruction in builing three dimensional reconstruction process. So the registration time as short as possible, as traditional algorithms have long time and the top local shortcomings.This article summing up three dimensional data acquisition process and registration principle based on three dimensional cloud data from the collecting data using optech three dimensional laser scanner. This paper analysis the advantages and disadvantages of classical icp algorithm, and then improve the algorithm aimed at dealing with characteristics of target buildings, due to traditional algorithm spend a lot of time in finding process, so this paper make two dimensional image information of registration of point cloud data applied to icp algorithm for selection of registration with initial value and get use of sift algorithm for extracting features of two registration data, in order to realize two rough registration of point cloud, we use the k-d tree of the data structure to find point pairs in the process of the icp algorithm, the goal is to realize automatic and accurate registration of point cloud data, we analysis the algorithm of triangulation briefly at the same time.This article use C++ language and opengl library to implement the experiment platform in vs2008 experimental platform based on combinat-ion of trimesh library, and then we validate the dffectiveness of algorithm and implement the whole process of three dimensional modeling throught Yin Chuan city clock tower for the object.
