The present visual cryptography studying dedicate to improving the main problem in revising extended pixel, advancing the contrast, producing the meaningful shared pictures, and solving the points with deception and prevent fraud. In the other hand, steganography technology is an important means of information hiding technology. It has large application range, and the implementing method is diversiform, what is more, it is the focus of information security. The dissertation research the two method, and obtain main results as follows:Firstly, a perfect contrast VCS is proposed based on solving the linear equations. We modify it in order to have perfect characteristic of security, and solve the problem of extended pixel, low contrast.Secondly, through the study basic theory of DWT transfer. Compare the secret with the coefficient characteristics of the LL in carrier image, then modify the coefficient characteristics of the HL, LH in carrier image to hide gray secret. The scheme can spread to the binary image, color image hiding applications. By analyseing the experimental research, this scheme show strong robustness and practicability.Finally, in this paper, based on the above research, to make the picture become meaningfully after VCS encoding, a new scheme in information hiding was proposed. In virtue of DWT transfer theory and VCS schemes based in solving the linear equations, the scheme shows superiority in more excellent contrast, lower complexity computing and higher quality anti-noise ability compare with scheme proposed in literature.
