With the development of visualization technology, its effect has infiltrated into every aspect of peoples lives. Nowadays, with instructional methods constantly been transforming in educational field, visualization technology applied to assisting teachers'teaching has been recognized by educational experts. However, in view of the instructional situation in our country at present, many shortcomings have also existed in various kinds of visualization tools which were commonly used. Therefore, it's essential to look for a kind of visualization tool which meets the requirements of teachers of various subjects. This paper introduces the online visualization tool VisualEyes from USA by making interviews with teachers, doing instructional experiments, making pretests and post-tests and making questionnaires etc. It aims to explore properties of the tool and the value of its application to the instruction in our country. The paper discusses and concludes into the following aspects.Firstly, it elaborates concepts and development histories of visualization and visualization instruction, and analyzes the superiorities and necessity as well as existing problems of applying visualization tools in teaching.Secondly, it teases out the theoretical and technical foundations for the research and lists current situations of study on domestic and foreign visualization instruction. The main theoretical foundations include physiological basis, psychological basis, educational communications basis and M. David Merrill's 5 Star Instructional Mode.Thirdly, it elaborates the visualization tool VisualEyes, including the project design principle, the project structure and its characteristics.Fourthly, two equal-level classes from the Experimental School of No.2 Middle School in Ma Anshan in Anhui province are chosen as the experimental class and the comparative class. And I take history discipline of Fall Semester in Grade 9 as an example for visualization instructional experiments. The experimental class applies instructional projects designed by the visualization tool VisualEyes in teaching, and the comparative class utilizes routine instruction. From development to experiment of instructional projects, it mainly experiences phases of demand analysis, design and development, classroom experimental design and experimental implementation. Tests are given to the two classes respectively before and after the experiment, and then independent sample T-tests are given to the two classes'achievements of pretest-posttest. Questionnaires are distributed to the students of the experimental class at the end of the experiment, and the results are statistically analyzed.Fifthly, the paper summarizes the contributions and disadvantages of the process in the research, and looks into the future of the further research.
