Design And Implementation Of The Students Information Management System

Applying the advanced theory of Management Information System (MIS), we designed a student's information management system which is capable of greatly improving students' management condition and efficiency of related work by gathering, transferring, storing, processing, maintaining and utilizing the information of university educational administration.The students information management system is based on SQL server2000, which is perfect database and analyze product, and Visual the Basie (VB) Programming theory which enables users to achieve inter-software communication. This corporation is possibly to be the most efficient database system developing approach with the extraordinary advantage of VB being object-oriented and interface friendly.In this dissertation we introduced the basic concept, the structure and development principle of MIS, analyzed the actual situation of university educational administration work, made the plan and the data flow chart as well as the data dictionary for the students information management system according to the MIS theory. We also studied and constructed the functions module and realized the code design of the students information management system, through which the user can easily and efficiently manage, inquire and analyze various kinds of information concerning system administration, students administration, class masters administration, dormitory administration, report forms administration.The system, with its functionality and practicability, has obtained affirmation through an on-going 3 months probation.
