As the main equipment of wind farm, the wind turbines are easily damaged and faulted duing to the impact of environmental and electronic devices factors. As the result, it requires the fault diagnosis system of wind power generation to real-time monitore the operating mode of the wind turbines,guide the wind turbines repaired and maintenanced,and ensure the wind turbines to work. Operational status data of the wind turbines were transmitted between the wind turbines and supervisor. WiMAX has obvious technical advantage of the application of the system to provide guarantee for data accurately transmitting, because WiMAX has high transmitting speed, long transmitting distance, powerful anti-jamming ability, perfecting QoS (Quality of service) mechanism, the security sublayer of MAC sublayer with safety management.Firstly,as the background for the present of wind generation and fault diagnosis, this paper discussed on the communication method in the wind power generation system, thus paving the way for choosing the communication method in the fault diagnosis system of wind power generation. Secondly, the composition and main function of the fault diagnosis system of wind power generation and WiMAX technology are introduced briefly in the paper. WiMAX application research on the fault diagnosis system of wind power generation has technical advantage, so the paper completed the network planning and design to design the WiMAX network which applied in the fault diagnosis system of wind power generation. While the normal operation of the system was determined by anti-jamming ability of communication method, it is important to research anti-jamming ability of WiMAX when it applied in the system. Introducing the interference problem in the system (such as EMI and ISI), the paper analysis the form of existence of interference in WiMAX network system and discussed anti-jamming ability of WiMAX. Finally, the paper simulated the performance of anti-jamming ability of WiMAX network using the software OPNET 14.5. The simulation result showed the WiMAX had powerful anti-jamming ability in the fault diagnosis system of wind power generation. The WiMAX can provide guarantee for data steadily transmitting.
