The Design And Implementation Of Threat Management Service Portal Based On LAMP And JavaEE

With the rapid development of the Internet, network threats affect more and more people. Network security is much more important than ever. This thesis describes the design and implementation of the security software based on server technology and network technology, which is different from traditional desktop security software.This thesis is based on my work during my internship at Trend Micro. TMSP, short for Threat Management Service Portal, is backend service system in Threat Management Services. Threat Management Services is a network security solution based on server technology and network technology. Threat Discovery Appliance scans the contents of network transmission, matches the contents with patterns to discover potential threats, and transfers the logs to TMSP. TMSP correlates and analyzes the logs to discover real threats, and provides services through the web. It is a new type of security software. In this thesis, we research and analyze the usage of web development technology and server backend development technology in TMSP project. This thesis mainly includes following aspects. I research current security software and server development technologies, analyze the requirements of TMSP, introduce the architecture of TMSP, design and implement the portal module, the mail module, and the rule update module of the administration console.In this thesis, we research the usage of web development technology and server backend development technology in network security software by analyzing, designing and implementing TMSP. This thesis shows that network security software based on server technology and network technology is effective supplement to desktop security software. And it is able to detect and mitigate a lot of threats which desktop security software cannot handle.
