With the advantages of simple equipments, flexible applications, low costs and strong anti-disaster ability, HF Communication is widely used in military and civilian communications. Domestic research on HF Communication comes late, technological backwardness. Compared with other countries, there is still a large distance. This paper focuses on the research of HF Communication automatic Link Establishment based on MILSTD188141B, designs and implements the TM module of 3G-ALE.In this paper, firstly,2G-ALE and 3G-ALE are compared and analyzed, the advantages and characteristics of 3G-ALE are discussed. Then, ALE, TM, xDL and CLC are researched. Secondly, the software and hardware used in HF radio system are introduced, including STM32F103RCT6 withμC/OS-II as operating system andμC/GUI used to design graphical user interface. Then, the principles and mechanisms of implementing the HF radio based on software and hardware platform are introduced. Thirdly, overall design of ALE is proceeded, in which ALE module, TM and HDL module are designed in reference to standards. Also, TM traffic process is designed based on abstract Status, Event and Action, including circuit traffic process (p2p, multicast and broadcast) and packet traffic process. At last, the TM module is implemented with real-time embedded operating systemμC/OS-II, and according to the design of circuit and packet traffic process, the status mechanism and protocol stack of TM is implemented, applying design mode of status mechanism. Then the optimal channel selection mechanism and LQA are discussed.
