This thesis focuses on general-structured relay network based on cooperative relay and studies the key issues in cooperative relay network. We place emphasis on the rounting selection under the operative multi-hop networks and make a comprehensive and in-depth analysis on the operative network performance.Based on the operative relay networks, we extend the previous linear multi-hop networks to a more general structure network. Considering the complexity and variability in the practical application of the network topology, the research results based on the general structure networks not only are more suitable to the practical application platform, but also can reflect the benefits and costs of the collaborativerelay network in the practical application more accurately. We firstly study the transmission characteristics of the DF relay under the general structure network, and based on the classic Prim algorithm we make some modifications and get an efficient rounting selection scheme. Moreover, we give an in-depth theoretical analysis on the whole networks outage performance for the strategy, from which we conclude that the diversity of outage probabilitydepends mainly on the minimum cutsets of given network, rather than relay node number. At last simulation results are provided which verify our analysis.Further, we make a study on the transmission characteristics of the AF relay under the general structure networks and find that the optimal rounting selection problem of the AF can be transformed into the shortest path problem in the Graph theory which can be solved by classic Dijkstra algorithm. In addition, we make a comparison between DF network and AF network under the Lattice-like network model. Besides, an rough upper and lower bound for the AF network is provided. At last we come to a conclusion that, in the region where the link gain is obvious, the AF network can achieve the similar performance as the DF networkdoes. In the pratical application, we can replace DF with AF under the right conditions.
