The Design And Realization Of Multimedia System Based On Android

Currently in the communications field,intelligent terminal products receive extensive attention.Smart phones,panel PCs,netbooks,MID, digital photo frame and other products emerge in an endless stream,and are changing people's lives gradually.With people pursuit of the diversity and personnalized information, the development of terminal technology and the enrichment of operating system,intelligent terminal has become a trend.Also in the field of multimedia products,people are no longer satisfied with the monotonous audio and video playback,but the pursuit of richer entertainment applications.Therefore,in addition to the requirenments of hardware configuration,better user experience of operating system also become the standard for people to choose a product.Android as a rising star of operating system platform,with its open,good user experience,has become the leader in the field.The project is designed as a prototype of a multimedia product based on Android system.Firstly,the paper introduces the advantages and the disadvantages of each exisiting terminal system platform,analysis the problems and developing trend of current multimedia products on the market.On this basis,propose a new design concept of multimedia product,characterized in:1) The selection of smartphone operating system platform,which has better user experience and scalability.On the contrary,the traditional multimedia products only have single function and poor extension.2) The hardware design is reasonable.Compared with similar products,increase the camera,WiFi and other modules,which can meet more extensive application needs.In addition,compared to smartphone,cut out the GSM module,can reduce design costs and power consumption.The purpose of this project is designed to provide users a rich multimedia entertainment platform.For the above characteristics,design the system architecture.In hardware,using PXA310 processor,camera,audio,touch screen as the main framework to design the circuit.In software,using blob,Linux kemel,and Android 1.6 system architecture,realize drivers of the modules, the hardware abstraction layer of Android,and Android system tailoring.Finally,the paper summarizes the design of whole multimedia system,and points out the improvement of the disign.
