Construction Of Sign Language Database Driven By Uighur Text With VRML Virtual Human

The synthesis of Uighur sign language driven by Uighur Text can help Uighur deaf to understand the meaning of the Uighur spoken and written text. It can also be applied to Uighur sign language teaching aided-Computer and Uighur television programs. The content of Uighur language and sign language synthesis is a wide range and promising research direction. It is very important for the lives and study of Uygur deaf. Uighur sign language database is the basis for synthesis of Uighur sign language. In Uighur sign language, there are so many sign language vocabularies and the change of gestures is also very rich. To build a good quality, efficient sign language database is the main task in this paper.Chinese sign language and Uighur sign language have much in common. This paper analyzed the characteristics of Chinese sign language first, and then analyzed the unique characteristics of Uighur sign language specifically. On this basis we used hand and arm movement characteristics, in order to avoid editing the repeating shape of the hand and arm. Therefore it improved the efficiency of editing.The motion characteristic of human hand and arm is very different. The editing technology of hand and arm is researched separately. And each joint motion control algorithm was made in-depth study. We found rapid generation gesture approach. We take the advantages of software-based method to produce sign gestures.This paper used key frame of interpolation technology to control the gestures of virtual human and achieved a Uighur gesture editing system. It can display current gestures of VRML virtual human driven through data of gestures in real time. Through this system, data of gestures are collected including commonly used Uighur words and 32 Uighur letters. The built of sign language database is the basis for continuous sign language animation of Uighur text display module.
