Distance education is an effective means to improve courtesy of the peoples, especially for our country's remote villages, where remote education is particularly important. The distance education platform for remote villages is mainly multimedia resources, such as audio, image, video, etc. However, these multimedia resources, especially video resource, often need to occupy a lot of network bandwidth, and often cause flow explosion that affects other business. For our country's remote villages, considering its vast territory, thinly scattered population, the lack of network infrastructure and the cost, wireless access will be a good way to solve the problem. But it is impossible to perform well-rounded network coverage, even if the coverage of 2G cellular network is out of the question. Therefore, the way of interconnecting the information island to construct network will be the ideal choice. This network environment belongs to narrow bandwidth even frequent interruption environment. Therefore, in such a network to develop remote education. it will be extremely difficult for the sharing of video resource. Aiming at this issue, this paper combined the present hot study of DTN network technology, and applied it to the remote rural multimedia education platform. Through the trips of buses between rural and urban. they can store, carry and transmit messages, realizing rural network access to the internet. This paper also has launched research on how to conduct video resource sharing based on DTN network. and put forward a set of cache scheme for video resources sharing in DTN network to solve the flow explosion brought about by VOD (video on demand). On the basis of caching system for video sharing, this paper designed a program for the download of video resource based on the bus ferry routing algorithm. The purpose is to solve the problem of high-latency resulting from sparse network and improve the quality of the video in VOD. This topic belongs to the application research of DTN network and also involves the designs of cache and routing algorithms. This not only lays foundation for theoretical study. but also has very widespread practical significance for popularizing the remote education in remote villages.
