Ultra wide band (UWB) wireless communications has many advantages and it is one of the hottest research spots. Through better channel estimation,the UWB system can improve the performance of its transmission and reception.At the same time, with the breakthrough of compressed sensing theory in recent years, UWB channel estimation has further development, which arouses researchers'attention. In this paper, we research on the applications of compressed sensing used in UWB channel estimation, which has important theoretical value and practical prospects.In this paper, we first make the research on the basic principle of the framework of compressed sensing theory in detail. Then we analysis UWB system and its features, with the characteristics of UWB channel estimation techno logy,we apply the different reconstruction algorithm in compressed sensing to a channel estimation technology of UWB system, and then make the discussion about the modeling of UWB channel estimation system based on compressed sensing, at last analysis the receiving performance of the system by simulation. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that different signal reconstruction algorithms have their own feature when used in UWB channel estimation system based on compressed sensing, having their own advantages.Besides, we explore the performance of signal reconstruction algorithm such as ROMP when used in the UWB channel modeling and UWB channel estimation system based on compressed sensing, having important reference value for the further research in this area. In terms of organization, this paper can be divided into six chapters: The first chapter is an introduction of compressed sensing and UWB theory, and summarize the integration of compressed sensing and UWB channel estimation; Chapter two mainly analyzes the basic principles of CS,introduces the distributed compressed sensing (DCS) theory and the prospect of compressed sensing; Chapter three researchs on the UWB system model and the research status of UWB channel estimation,then gives a brief introduction of the simplified channel model for body area networks; Chapter four is the research on the UWB channel estimation system model based on compressed sensing,and introduces the performance of different signal reconstruction algorithm used in UWB channel estimation system based on CS;Chapter five introduces the performance of different signal reconstruction algorithm used in simplified BAN channel estimation system based on CS,and makes the research on the application of distributed compressed sensing used in the jointly signal reconstruction of BAN;Chapter six is the conclusion and outlook.
