The digital trunking communication system is a special wireless communication system, which can offer the server of command and dispatch communications, data transmission, send and receive SMS, location-based services, and other services. With the development of the mobile communication technology and the need of multi-media services, the wireless trunking communication is stepping to the digital and broadband time. In recent years, the native market of digital trunking communication system is in the trend of rapid expansion, whose future will be bright.OMAP1621 is a kind of Open Multimedia Application Processor launched by Texas Instrument, which has the advantage of higher performance with lower power consumption. The OMAP1621 is wildly used in the 2.5 and 3 general communication terminal development, for its good performance in providing transmission of voice and multimedia.This paper is based my research and work in the project of the development and application of wireless broadband multimedia access system faced to major industries, which is the major national special. This new digital trunking communication system based FDD is designed for the need of video transmission service. I join the work of the algorithm design of physical layer, especially for the synchronization module. In the system realization, I responsible for the work of realizing and optimizing synchronization, CRC coding, interleaving and auto gain control modules in the OMAP1621, which is the core of the hardware terminal. In the optimization of synchronization module, I design a new non-isometric table look-up algorithm based linear interpolation, which has an obvious promotion in performance. I also optimize some modules by replace assembly codes to C codes.
