ICT Service Catalogue Management Research And Implementation

With the wide utilization of information technology, information technology and communication technology become increasingly integrated, resulting in ICT (information and communication technology) services in blend of the two technologies. In order to build ICT service value chain for customers, service providers consider ICT services as the development direction. Meanwhile operators take advantage of ICT service to transform from voice communication providers to comprehensive information service providers. Facing more and more ICT services and complicated customers' requirements, service providers face a lot of challenges in the process of ICT services development and management, including how to define ICT service, how to organize services and how to implement service innvoation.In order to solve these problems, this paper raises ICT service catalogue to define, maintain and display all the services, which provides a communication channel between providers and customers. On this basis, the management of service catalogue are supplied to achieve service innovation, which meets customers' diverse and differentiated requirements. ICT service catalogue helps service providers and customers communicate effectively, understand the exact value of services in the business process, and estimate the cost of services appropriately. Thus ICT service catalogue is of great significance in the development of ICT service.This paper firstly introduces the research background, purpose and scope, and gives the definition of ICT service and ICT service catalogue. And then ICT service catalogue model is provided, including ICT service catalogue management requirements to manage and maintain service catalogue, and ICT service catalogue representation template to define and understand services. In the part of management requirement, this paper focuses on the research of ICT service composition method based on Genetic Algorithm. Based on the model, ICT service catalogue management system is designed and developed, which verify the validity of the model. The last part is the summary of this paper, which points out the inadequate of the research and analyzes the future research direction.
