Following the development of digital communications and information technology, wireless communication has become the fastest growing and most widely used means in the information and communications field. The commonly used modulation techniques in wireless communication are FSK, ASK, PSK and OFDM, etc. In view of the techniques-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has a good performance against multipath fading, it has become the mainstream modulation technologies in wireless communication. However, as the development of the internet, internet of things, cloud computing and other network technologies, the bottleneck of access become prominent. As a key in access system, modulation technology plays a major role in improving transmission rate. Even if the OFDM are considered as the most suitable method of wireless access modulation, Its efficiency and its related technical issues still plague the telecommunications industry. Professor Liang Dequn brought forward the Time-Shift Non-Orthogonal Multi-Carries Modulation (TS-NMT), on the one hand it inherits the good performance of against multipath fading from OFDM; on the other hand, because of the Time-Shift feature, it break the constraints of orthogonality, so that transmission rate has been greatly improved, its performance are better than OFDM in Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and power consumption and against Frequency-shift. Thus, TS-NMT is the digital communications which have unlimited potential and superiority in the digital communications field.TS-NMT has been carried out theoretical research and computer simulation for long time, including wired, wireless, mobile, satellite channels, and it has been realized on the NMT-S3B wired physical prototype, and has proved its feasibility and superiority. However, due to the factors of the experience condition, we still have been unable to complete the wireless channel transmission experiment, which lead to TS-NMT has the practical gap. On the basis of the theoretical research and the wireless channel simulation by graduate student, this thesis will test the transmission performance of TS-NMT in the wireless communications system platform whose core is the SignalWave board. First, establish a wireless communication systems platform whose core is the SignalWave board; including mixers, filters, transmitters and receivers. Secondly, half-off experiment; we use the MATLAB to design the symbol of the TS-NMT and OFDM, and the symbol go though a real wireless channel, and demodulation after receive the symbol data to the computer, the whole experiment includes modulation, wireless channel, synchronization, channel estimation and demodulation. Thirdly, TS-NMT modulation and demodulation algorithm implement in the DSP; The TS-NMT modulation and demodulation, time synchronization, frequency synchronization, channel equalization algorithms designed in DSP, so that it is the basis for the future engineering applications of the TS-NMT.
