Undersea exploration is an important part of development and utilization of marine resources, but the special and complex seabed environment increases t-he difficulty of seabed exploration and exploitation, even likely to cause emerg-enci es that is difficult to deal with, All of these maybe bring serious disaster and 1 oss. So if we can get the undersea environment and situation, especially acc-u-rat ely obtaining and analyzing the local small-scale underwater area is very n-eces sary, three-dimensional imaging is an effective solution of this problem. By th-r ee-dimensional imaging of underwater targets, we can more clearly identify the und-erwater case, Based on this, this paper proposes use the radial basis function ne-twork model settle the shape from shading problem, in order to achieve thr-ee-dimensional shape recovery of underwater target. The main works are as follows:First, this paper introduces the current means of three-dimensional imaging of underwater exploration and development status. proposes use the radial basis function network model and the shape from shading problem achieve three-dime nsional shape recovery of underwater target, summarizes the knowledge points o f he shape recovery from shading and radial basis function network knowledge points.Second, with the help of MFC single document and dialog functions, this paper designed the underwater targets shape reconstruction system by using the RBF network model. It described the function of each module of the system as well as the basic knowledge of OpenGL.Last, this paper achieved the underwater targets shape reconstruction syste-m. and the system is tested by using underwater targets and the results were a-nalyzed and compared.
